The Committee’s Purpose

The H & I Committee is dedicated to providing AA meetings and literature to those hospitals and institutions that request support from Alcoholics Anonymous.

We follow the 12 Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous, remembering always that this is a program of attraction, not promotion. However, H & I, as an integral part of the alcoholic recovery function of AA, is able to reach out to hospitals and institutions that support alcoholic recovery.

As is true with all AA programs, H & I’s services are provided without discrimination of any kind and are free to the recipients. We remember always that there are no dues or fees for AA membership.

Committee Meeting

2nd Monday of each Month at 6pm

Central Office

The H & I Committee meets every month on the second Monday of the month at 6:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church 21 E Constance St., Garden Room, corner of State & Constance.

. All are invited to attend.

We strongly urge you to contact Central Office to find out how to qualify for participation in any of these commitments. We are always looking for more AA members who are willing to carry the message to the suffering alcoholic.

Because of the special nature of some of the institutions which are served by H & I, it may be
necessary for individuals to be granted clearance
by the facility before attending their meetings. This process of qualification is particularly true of local jails and state penitentiaries. Minimum sobriety requirements may apply as well.

H & I is always available for other hospitals and institutions where the AA program would be beneficial. We ask the public and AA members
to advise us of any other opportunities to be of service.
